Services & Pricing

Drone Photography for Commercial Buildings & Roof Surveys

Using an SUA to survey a roof is a cost effective and safe way of identifying and solving any potential issue. Utilising an SUA removes the prohibitive costs and planning necessary with scaffolding or the need to hire a cherry picker which may not be able to fully service your requirements. Subject to permissions and risk assessments, an SUA deployment can generally take place within 48 hours.

Skylight Drone Services can also take care of media requirements you have, such as aerial shots of your business / installation, or an aerial photograph of your workforce or activities.

Drone Photography for Residential Buildings & Roof Surveys

Are you considering selling your home? Maybe you provide holiday let services? Think of the impact aerial shots or video of your home and local area from an SUA will give prospective buyers or renters. For that added wow factor, let Skylight Drone Services take care of giving your advertisement that extra punch. Examples of roof detail can be found here.

What are the costs?

Costs will vary dependent on what type of survey is required, types of media to be provided and other factors such as distance from base. Each quotation request will be fully costed and subject to a 'day-rate'. This will be all inclusive with no nasty surprise additions later. The minimum cost of any commercial deployment will be £495. Residential services start at £150.

Why use Skylight Drone Services?

You can be assured that you will receive the most professional service. Each operator is highly skilled in their area of operation, and will have a minimum of a CAA approved A2CofC qualification. More information about this is available here. In addition to this, each commercial deployment will have a minimum of two persons in attendance, one as the remote UAS pilot, and the other as an observer to maintain the strictest safety protocols. Residential deployments will generally utilise one person, however this is dependant on the risk assessment.

Each deployment will be preceded by a bespoke flight plan and risk assessment, where all necessary permissions will be obtained if required. There will be an initial assessment made when we are first contacted, using online and UAS specific planning tools. This will then usually be followed up by an on-site assessment. It

Skylight Drone Services is fully covered by insurance meeting regulation EC785/2004. There is a minimum cover of £1m public liability cover in place, which can be extended to £5m should the specific deployment require it.

Important information

Sometimes, it will be necessary to postpone the deployment due to inclement weather or a delay in obtaining the necessary permissions (The Civil Aviation Authority and National Air Traffic Services are very busy). This will not incur any further cost to you. The final decision to go/no-go on any deployment will remain with the UAS pilot on the day. Safety is paramount, and this is non-negotiable.

100% client confidentiality is paramount, we will ensure this is upheld at all times. Any personal information collected as part of the contact / quotation process will be stored securely and managed in line with GDPR. Data will only be held for as long as is necessary, and will be disposed of securely.  More information on this is available here
